Welcome to The 2023-24 Choose Your Own Adventure Mariners Off-Season Spectacular (working title)! This off-season, and hopefully moving forward, we will provide you (yes you reader!) the opportunity to pick your own off-season for our beloved baseball boys.

With that being said; we do have to establish some guidelines for this exercise. We all know the limits the organization self-imposes on itself, so we are doing our best to stay slightly within those guidelines.

Guidelines:

1. If you select to sign a Top Tier Free Agent (Annual pay over $20m projected) you will not be able to sign any other free agents, and will only be allowed to finish the off-season with two additional trades.

2. If you select a Major Free Agent, you will not be able to trade for Juan Soto. Yes, it’s an ideal scenario, but it’s not realistic to believe the Mariners will up payroll by more than $60m on two players alone.

3. If you select No Major Free Agent (Trade for Soto) on question 1, you will be able to:

– Sign (1) mid-tier Free Agent (Less than $20m annually projected)

– Complete one additional trade

4. If you select No Major Free Agent (Don’t Trade for Soto) on question 1, you will be able to:

– Sign (2) mid-tier Free Agents (Less than $20m annually projected) 

– Complete two trades

5. For any trades; we will leave an open box for trade suggestions after selecting the player you want. Best answers COULD be shared through Dome and Bedlam or it’s associated social accounts.

6. No information is trapped in this sheet other than your plan. We will not have access to your emails, nor your name for submitting, unless you want to include your twitter handle at the end of the off-season plan.

7. We will continue to update this as free agents/trade targets come off the board.

8. There is no limit to submissions so feel free to go down any path you would like, as many times as you would like.

Note: We will not be including most relievers in this. Given the org’s history of going to THE PILE – we figured we would save everyone the time and effort.

All of these guidelines will also be included in the Google Form as well. We look forward to hearing from all of you on how you would approach the upcoming off-season.
